As anyone who has tried to use their Globalstar Phone has discovered, the system has become unreliable.  This is due to a failure of an electronic component system common to all of the satellites Loral manufactured in the 1990's. The good news is there will be a New Satellite Constellation launched in 2010 with service  beginning  in 2011. By all accounts a feature rich, reliable system with even wider coverage. With that great Globalstar voice quality we've all become used to. Any of our customers are welcomed to change over to Iridium or Inmatsat phones in the interim.
